What it does
- Import any job page. Click the toolbar icon on any job posting — LinkedIn, Greenhouse, Lever, company career sites — and the role lands in your tracker with title, company, source URL, and timestamp captured.
- Cross-tenant credential autofill. Workday and iCIMS run a separate tenant per employer, so your browser's saved password for one Workday won't autofill another. The extension's vault recognises ATS field patterns and fills them across tenants.
- Stays signed in. Uses your existing HiredSignal session — no separate login.
Install from the .zip
Until the Web Store listing is live, install the unpacked extension manually:
- Download the .zip above and unpack it to a folder you'll keep around (Chrome loads it from disk).
- Open
chrome://extensionsin Chrome. - Toggle Developer mode on (top right).
- Click Load unpacked and select the unpacked folder.
- Pin the HiredSignal icon to your toolbar — that's your import button.
Permissions explained
The extension requests activeTab, scripting, storage, and cookies. activeTab + scripting are how it reads the job posting on the tab you click from. storage holds your credential vault locally. cookies is how it keeps you signed in to HiredSignal across the popup and the page you're importing from. Nothing is sent anywhere except your own HiredSignal account.
